Sometimes, I leave the hive.

A couple of days a week I take a break from pouring wax to enjoy the citrus world with The Sisters Market. If you haven’t already, you need to check them out! http://www.thesistersmarket.com

Every week we go out and hand select citrus to box for orders. We do our best to pick and pack beautiful boxes for the customers.

When you grow up in the Central Valley surrounded by orchards it’s easy to forget that there are so many people that have never had a fresh piece of fruit. So to be able to give them something right off of a tree is pretty freakin’ cool.

Fun Fact: I love small business, agriculture and genuinely good people so to have a job that checks all of those boxes is kick ass.

Picking is a humbling experience. We only do this one day a week and let me tell you, pickers are under appreciated. The next time you come across someone who does this for a living, thank them! They work so hard and deserve to be paid much more than they are. These people help feed us. Be kind to them, always.
From their farm to your front door.🍊

Before stepping into the small business world I worked in Low-Income Property Management and as much as I loved housing people who deserved to live in clean, safe communities I hated working for companies that wanted us to simply treat our residents as a rent receipt. After having my son I was dreading the idea of going back. Lucky for me, my husband supported my decision to quit and find something that would bring me joy. I found Bea’s Wax shortly after and then this job in early 2022. Life is too short to not love what you do. I can honestly say I look forward to the days I get to work with The Sisters, even on picking days. Lol
